Care Centre is a community service, providing care, fellowship and interesting activities to frail older people and respite to those who care for them at home.
Activities include music, singing, gentle exercises, fun, fellowship, visiting speakers, entertainers, occasional outings and more.
The co-ordinator, Jenny Mansfield, is supported by a faithful band of volunteers, who help each week at the Centre or drive members to and fro.
New members are usually referred by a hospital or doctor, but Jenny would be pleased to hear of anyone who might benefit from joining the group.
The Care Centre meets in the lounge at the Turramurra Avenue Uniting Church each Wednesday, from 10am to 2pm.
There are also opportunities for people to support this important ministry by becoming a volunteer.
